FAQ: Raysin Workshop in Munich

What is Raysin and how is it different from gypsum or concrete?

Raysin is a particularly fine, odorless, gypsum-based casting powder specially developed for DIY projects. Unlike traditional concrete, it is low-dust, skin-friendly, and dries pure white—perfect for delicate shapes, decorative objects, and modern designs. It feels high-quality, but is lighter than concrete and less likely to break than conventional gypsum.

What can I craft in the Raysin Workshop?

You can choose from various silicone molds and create things like coasters, candle holders, jewelry bowls, or trays. You decide whether you want to give your objects a clean look, an elegant marble effect, or a colorful terrazzo design. At the end, you'll take home two finished DIY pieces!

Do I need to have previous experience in casting or crafting?

Not at all! Our workshop is beginner-friendly, and all steps are explained clearly. We'll guide you through the entire process—from mixing the Raysin to the correct pouring, coloring, and decorating. So, you don't need any experience with pouring concrete or plaster—just a desire to get creative!
